Do you like diving?
The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the most widely recognized diving licence in the world. It allows you to dive on your own, without a guide, and can be earned in three consecutive days.
During the course you will acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and complete five dives in shallow water (the pool, for example), culminating in at least four open water dives on the reefs of Playa del Carmen.

PADI Open Water Diver Course
What is the PADI Open Water Diver course like?
With the PADI Open Water Diver certification you are free to dive on your own, always respecting the maximum safe depth of 18 m.
We start the first day at 8:00 in the morning. Over a cup of coffee or a glass of water, we review the answers to the questions in the PADI Open Water Diver Manual. Remember that you can do the theory part before starting the course and go straight into the water!
In the pool we complete some exercises to make you feel comfortable with the equipment. You know we are never in a hurry: we will take all the time you need to complete the exercises calmly.
On the second day we go back to the diving theory, answer your questions and take a short official 10-question test. At noon we go to the port to board the boat and visit 2 beautiful local reefs in Playa del Carmen.
The main objective of this second day is to complete the first two dives of your Open Water Diver course. Underwater, after a brief review of the skills learned in the pool, we enjoy exploring the wonderful Caribbean underwater world.
Finally, on the third day we start the morning with the final exam. Then we go to the boat to do the last two dives scheduled in the course.

This certification is recognized all over the world. Once you have completed the objectives of the Open Water Diver course, we will be delighted to give you your new official certificate.
Remember: Alternatively, you can complete the theory part of the course before you arrive in Mexico, doing the exercises at home with PADI.
Are there young children in your group? No problem! Children between 10 and 14 years old can earn the PADI Junior Open Water diving licence. Contact us and we will explain everything. After the Junior Open Water Diver course, children aged 10 to 12 can only take part in guided dives under the supervision of a PADI professional. This certification also has a depth limit of 12 meters.
Important for divers! If you dive with a buddy of a different certification level, the shallower depth limit applies, and the conditions of their training site must also be considered. Later on you can complete the PADI Deep Diver specialty or take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course to continue your training.
